ORLANDO, FL – The 2020 Pro Bowl kicks off on Sunday, January 26th, however, the action is already underway as the NFL’s best have come to town!
Wednesday was the first day of practice for both teams as they ran plays in warmups while taking time in between to meet with fans that traveled near and far to meet their heroes.
Also, opening Wednesday was the fan-favorite Pro Bowl Experience, an interactive football playground. It gives fans the chance to try their hands at some of the events that really determine NFL players scouting scores. From the 40 yard dash, kick-tac-toe, to the precision passing event, there’s fun for the whole family.
During the morning, Pro Football Hall of Fame offensive tackle Anthony Muñoz, hosted the annual NFL Play 60 Camp. The overall mission of the camps is to “make a positive impact on youth around the country through teaching football skills, emphasizing exercise, and reinforcing the importance of character in athletics and life.”
Then to wrap up the day, NFL Stars took to the skills challenge with members of the Special Olympics as part of a Unified Skills Challenge event. Around 100 athletes from Special Olympics Florida got the chance to test out their skills alongside some of the NFL’s best.
The excitement continues Thursday with more practices and community events. The day will be highlighted by the evenings “Play Football Opening Night” from 5-7 PM EST. Over 450 kids from high schools and Play 60 UK will have the chance to be the star with interviews and other activities while being cheered on by mascots and NFL Cheerleaders.
