Ducks and Buckeyes Arrive in Los Angeles for Rose Bowl Showdown

The Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes touched down in Los Angeles on Sunday, December 29, 2024, ahead of their highly anticipated Rose Bowl matchup on January 1, 2025.

The Ducks, maintaining a flawless 13-0 record, were the first to arrive in the late afternoon. Their season highlights include a narrow 32-31 victory over Ohio State earlier this year and a Big Ten Championship win over Penn State, earning them a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff.

The Buckeyes, holding an 11-2 record, landed just after sunset following a decisive 42-17 victory over Tennessee in the playoff’s first round. Freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has been a standout, breaking school records and playing a pivotal role in their offense.

This Rose Bowl marks the third meeting between these programs, with Ohio State winning the previous two encounters in 1958 and 2010. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. PST at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California on New Year’s Day.

As both teams settle into Los Angeles, anticipation builds for a rematch of the two titans in the first ever CFP Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game.
