Garrett Bradbury New Man Over Center In Minnesota

Written by Garin Turner

The Minnesota Vikings made a big step in improving its offensive line as they chose center Garrett Bradbury from NC State with the 18th pick in the first round. Bradbury is 6’3 and 306 pounds. ESPN has him ranked as the best center in the draft and the 18th overall player in the draft.

The Vikings were 30th in the NFL in rushing yards a game at 90.3. They were tied at 17th last season with 40 sacks allowed so Bradbury should be able to help improve on those numbers.

Bradbury came to NC State as a tight end in 2014. He moved to guard before the 2015 season. In 2016 he earned honorable mention All-ACC honors as a junior starting 13 games. As a senior, he won the Rimington Trophy which is given to the nation’s top center. He also received first-team All-ACC and Associated Press All-American honors.
