Joey Logano Wins Stage Two, While Kyle Busch Gets Back on Lead Lap

Written by Adrian Beecher

Bristol, TN – Kevin Harvick would start stage two with the lead at Bristol Motor Speedway. However, Chase Elliott would take over the lead position just two laps into the stage and start to pull away.

Elliott’s lead would dwindle to less than a half second before issues struck Harvick just 59 laps into stage two. This would send Harvick down to pit road. The pressure would soon be back on Elliott however, as Ryan Blaney would make the pass to regain the lead on lap 192.

Five laps later the caution would come out as David Ragan got spun around going into turn three. This would shake things, putting Joey Logano in the lead out of pit stops.

This would set Logano up for the stage win as he maintained his lead through the end of the stage as he held off Chase Elliott. The real battle as the final laps of stage two wrapped up was between Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch as they fought for the lucky dog position to get back on the lead lap by being the first car one lap down.

Harvick would make multiple attempts to get y Busch in the final laps of the stage. However, Busch was able to hold on and get back onto the lead lap at Bristol, setting up what should be a wild finish for the final stage.
