Talladega, AL – Kurt Bush started on the pole and led the first 12 laps ahead of the first caution. The caution came out due a single car incident with the No. 96 of Jeffery Earnhardt.
When the field went back to green, it was Busch still in the lead with his three Stewart -Hass teammates Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer and Aric Almirola following suit in 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
The four Stweart-Hass cars would dominate throughout the stage, building up an 8-second lead on the 2nd pack, which held 5th through 8th and then a 16 second lead on the third pack.
