Concord, NC- Kyle Larson captures the 1st stage of the 2018 Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway after making the only pass for the lead in the race up to this point.
Kurt Busch started on the pole and led the first ever Roval lap, holding off a hard-charging Kyle Larson. Denny Hamlin would be the first person to head t the pits and did so on lap 5.
Kyle Larson took over the lead coming out of the last chicane on lap 6.
Things would remain calm on the track until lap 13, when Stanton Barrett ran straight into the wall going into turn 1, bringing out our first caution of the day. Larson remained the leader as the field went back to green flag racing.
Larson would remain the leader with limited passes on the track and capture the stage win after 25 laps.
