Ohio State Arrives In Miami For National Championship Game

Miami, FL – The Ohio State Buckeyes touched down just after 5:44 PM Eastern time Saturday evening. Their arrival comes a little less than 24 hours after the Tide rolled into town.

It will be a strictly business trip for the Buckeyes, with their eyes set on capturing a 9th National Title and second of the College Football Playoff Era. It will be just the 5th time Ohio State has faced Alabama, trailing in the series 1-3. Though, their last meeting went in favor of OSU, as they defeated the Tide 42-35 in the 2015 CFP Semi-Final at the Sugar Bowl.

Ohio State has made the trip to Miami in the postseason just twice previously. The first time was in the 1977 Orange Bowl, where they defeated Colorado 27-10. The other lone trip was a 40-35 loss to the Clemson Tigers in the 2014 Orange Bowl, the Buckeye’s only loss of the 2013 season.

Kickoff for the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship Game is set for 8:00 PM EST on Monday, January 11th, 2021, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
