Florida State took care of business 44-14 against Boston College to move to 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in ACC play. QB Jordan Travis went 16/26 for 321 yards and a score for the Seminoles. Trey Benson added two scores on the ground on 10 carries for 78 yards. Treshaun Ward also found the end zone and ended with 48 yards on 14 carries.

The Seminoles defense got to Boston College’s (1-3, 0-2 ACC) quarterback three times. Brendan Gant, Patrick Payton, and Shyheim Brown all recorded a sack. Gant had five tackles while Payton and Brown had three and two respectively. Omarion Cooper and Greedy Vance each had an interception for Florida State. Boston College only had 235 total yards. The defense didn’t allow Boston College across the 50 yard line in the first half and forced seven punts.

Florida State scored 37 unanswered points until 3:31 left in the third. They got off to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter alone. It started on the opening kickoff when Benson took it to the house on a 93-yard return. Lawrance Toafili then scored on a one-yard run. Benson would score for the first time on the ground with 6:05 left in the first on a 15-yard run.

After a Ryan Fitzgerald 30-yard field goal, Travis found KentronPoitier for a 31-yard TD pass for a 31-0 halftime lead. The halftime lead is the biggest against an ACC opponent since 2013. The third saw Ward score on a 22-yard run.  Benson would score his final touchdown of the game and for the Seminoles in the fourth on a 36-yard run. Boston College’s two scores came on five- and four-yard passes.
