Todd Gilliland takes the Checkered Flag in the K&N Pro Series – East Zombie Auto 150

Bristol, TN – In a race filled with several yellow caution flags and red stoppage flags, Todd Gilliland in the No. 98 Mobil 1 Toyota survived the difficult track and deadly “Bristol-Bite” to win the NASCAR K&N Pro Series – East Zombie Auto 150 at Bristol

Motor Speedway. This was his seventh K&N Pro Series – East victory and second victory this year.

Harrison Burton, who won this race last year, finished second in the No. 12 DEX Imagining Toyota, Noah Gragson in the No. 54 Switch Toyota finished third, Tyler Ankrum in the No. 17 Modern Meat Company Toyota finished fourth and Brandon McReynolds in the No. 74 IGA/The Reichert Group Chevrolet rounded out the top five.

This race came on the heels of the Fitzgerald Kits 300 Xfinity Series race and much like that race, this race was filled with cautions and red stoppage flags. There were several points throughout the race where two to three laps would be run, before a yellow caution flag would come out. That flag was usually followed by a red stoppage flag, as there were several instances where there was debris from cars scattered across the track. Most of the wrecks happened near, or on Turn 2 when drivers would try to make a move and would lose control of their cars, sending them spiraling out onto the track, or into the wall. Thankfully, in all the crashes, the drivers appeared to be ok and able to walk under their own power.

While there were several stoppages, this was overall an entertaining race for the fans as there was a great deal of movement and action. The K&N Pro Series – East continues in two weeks in the Visit Hampton VA 150. The race is at the Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA.
