2020 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Outlines Safe Stadium Policy at AT&T Stadium

ARLINGTON, Texas (December 29, 2020) – The 85th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is set to follow AT&T Stadium Safe Stadium Policy for its New Year’s Six matchup between Florida and Oklahoma on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN and ESPN Radio.

AT&T Stadium has implemented a series of health and sanitization policies and procedures following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Football League, State of Texas and local public safety and public health officials, noting that every fan plays an important role in facilitating a safe environment at AT&T Stadium.

AT&T SAFE STADIUM POLICY FOR THE 85TH GOODYEAR COTTON BOWL CLASSIC

  • Stadium Capacity. Capacity for the 85th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is 17,815 or 25 percent of the AT&T Stadium maximum capacity, which is in accordance with the guidelines from the CDC, the State of Texas, local public safety and public health authorities.
  • Know the Signs. Fans must not come to AT&T Stadium if they have COVID-19, COVID-19 symptoms or know they have been exposed to COVID-19. Fans should take their temperature before departing for AT&T Stadium. If you are feeling sick, stay home.
  • Social Distancing. Fans are required to practice social distancing inside and outside of AT&T Stadium, including parking lots, entry queues and seating. With 15 dedicated entries and exits, in addition to the three million square feet of club, concourse and corridor space, fans have ample space to practice social distancing. Weather permitting, AT&T Stadium’s unique retractable roof and end zone door design give the ability to maximize fresh air flow throughout the building, along with the capability of circulating 840,000 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of fresh air through its mechanical system.
  • Mask Policy. Consistent with local public safety and public health policy, all fans are required to wear a mask when transiting from their personal or public transportation to AT&T Stadium including while in stadium parking lots. In addition, all fans and stadium employees are required to wear a mask at all times, except when actively eating or drinking or if under 10 years of age.
  • Seating. Tickets are being sold in seat blocks known as “pods” to maintain distance between groups who are not known to one another. Fans are required to maintain pod integrity by only transferring tickets to family or friends within their trusted group. Each ticket holder should have their own mobile ticket on his/her device.
  • Mobile Ticketing. All tickets and parking are available via the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic App, available for download on iOS and Android devices. In order to provide a contactless experience for fans, physical tickets are not available. Your mobile device serves as your ticket and/or parking pass. Tickets may be transferred to friends and family attending the game as well as resold using the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic official resale marketplace, TicketExchange.
  • Cashless Experience. All food, beverage, parking and retail are a cashless experience. Major credit and debit cards, as well as mobile pay, are accepted throughout AT&T Stadium.
  • Frictionless Entry. Fans have frictionless entry to stadium parking lots, going through a frictionless security scan using 60 socially distanced metal detectors to enter AT&T Stadium. This process is in place to ensure ingress and egress at each of AT&T Stadium’s 15 entries is smooth, swift and safe.
  • Tailgating. Designated spaces for tailgating are available in select AT&T Stadium lots. To promote physical distancing, at least one space between vehicles is required in the tailgating spots and parties will not be permitted to comingle.
  • Stadium Cleaning. AT&T Stadium is following guidelines from the CDC and continue to consult with outside medical and infectious disease experts to put a thorough cleaning and disinfecting plan in place using single-use microfiber wipes, single-use microfiber mop heads and EPA registered products including electrostatic and fogging sprays. Procedures include cleaning and disinfecting prior to every event, as well as disinfecting high touchpoint areas regularly throughout events. Fans have access to over 300 additional hand sanitization stations located throughout AT&T Stadium.
  • Staffing Protocols. The front-line employees work hard to prepare for every event at AT&T Stadium and the stadium provides them with all possible assistance to help them safely do their jobs. This includes providing them with special training on CDC recommended guidelines, as well as the personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary to do their job, including masks and other specialized equipment. Vendors working at AT&T Stadium abide by all stadium health and safety policies.
  • Food and Beverage. Staff at concession stands, catering spaces, and all bars are trained on CDC recommended guidelines, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), follow enhanced handwashing procedures and maintain cleaning and sanitization protocols of food and beverage contact surfaces. All food items are served in to-go containers along with pre-packaged disposable ware and condiments.

AT&T Stadium continues to monitor guidelines and protocols from local public health officials and may enhance the Safe Stadium Policy, as needed, for the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.
