Washington D.C. – Celebrate good times! The 2018-19 NCAA College Football Champions have been riding the championship wave since defeating University of Alabama last Monday. The Tigers spent Saturday parading around the city of Clemson celebrating with 50,000 of their biggest fans in Death Valley. On Monday, the championship tour made its way to Pennsylvania Avenue to visit the White House for the second time in the last three years. The Clemson Tigers went #ALLIN in Washington, DC as they spent the day sight-seeing the Nation’s Capital and then finishing off the evening at the White House, courtesy of President Donald Trump.

President Trump opened up the White House to Coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Football Team last night with open arms to celebrate their 44-16 blowout. Several dignitaries in attendance were Secretary of the treasury Steven Mnuchin, Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker, and Senator Lindsey Graham.

The President commenced the ceremonies by addressing the fast food fiesta served to his guests for dinner. There was no disguise that the American fast food buffet served as a substitute for his guests due to the current government shutdown.

“Do we give you some little quick salads that the First Lady will make along with the second lady..or do I go out and send out for 1,000 hamburgers”

Fine fast food dining is what the Clemson football team was treated to and needless to say there wasn’t much left at the end of the night.

Coach Swinney didn’t comment on the food as he stepped up to the podium but went on to speak of the greatness of his team as he instantly captured everyone’s attention with his southern charm and heartfelt speech.

“We talk a lot about X’s and O’s, but this game to me is about hearts and souls. Last Monday you saw on full display the heart and soul of this team.”

Swinney continued to shower his heartful group with praise and made sure to note that their commitment to excellence was also demonstrated off the field.

“This very same team that set out to be the best ever had the best ever team GPA in the history of our Clemson program. [We had] 66 guys make a 3.0 or better..Won the AFCA Academic Award, number 1 out of 330 teams. Christian Wilkins won the Academic Heisman that goes to the top student in all of football..Our program is defined by the type of men that leave our program.”

The aura in the room was silent as the audience listened enraptured to the candor of Coach Swinney.

Dabo ended his speech with an impactful quote from the late Purdue University fan, Tyler Trent, enlisting his group of men to go live, be great today and to enjoy the journey.

“In order for your someday to become a reality you just gotta be great today. And truly enjoy the journey because I truly believe the best is yet to come.”
