ACC Unveils 2020 Football Matchups

Notre Dame, welcome to the ACC, at least for 2020.

The Fighting Irish will get to feel what it’s like to be a football member of the ACC this season after the Atlantic Coast Conference announced the news that Notre Dame would play an all ACC this season and be eligible for the ACC Conference Championship Game.

Notre Dame’s schedule will feature the already previously scheduled matchup against Clemson, along with home games against FSU, Louisville, and Duke. Road trips to face North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Boston College.

Trevor Lawrence and Clemson won’t have an easy road to making a sixth-straight College Football Playoff, with a schedule that features home games against Virginia, Miami, Pitt, and Boston College. Clemson will also have to travel to Notre Dame and Virginia Tech in 2020.

D’Eriq King and the Miami Hurricanes schedule is also worth a look, featuring games at Clemson, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, and Louisville, all notoriously tough places to play on the road. Things don’t get much easier for the ‘Canes at home, where they have to face Virgina, North Carolina, Pitt, and the rivalry game against FSU. Miami will have to pull out some tough wins if they want to contend for an ACC title in 2020.

The Mike Norvell era in Tallahassee will see the FSU Seminoles face Clemson and Virginia at Doak Campbell Stadium. The ‘Noles will travel to Duke, Miami, Louisville, North Carolina State, and Notre Dame this upcoming season.

Wake Forest features arguably the toughest home schedule of all the ACC, as the Demon Deacons will welcome Clemson, Miami, Notre Dame, Virginia, and Virginia Tech, to Winston-Salem.

There will be no divisions in the ACC in 2020, with the teams with the two best conference win percentages will faceoff in the ACC Championship game in Charlotte, North Carolina on either Saturday, December 12 or 19.
