Brad Keselowski’s Night Cut Short in early “Big One” at Daytona

Daytona Beach, FL – Brad Keselowski started in 3rd place and had been running in the top of the field most of the evening in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona. As stage 2 got underway, Keselowski looked to be a prime contender, leading the field to the drop of the green flag.

Then a caution two laps into the stage with Paul Menard going sideways and into the dirt on the backstretch. This would bunch the field up, which would result in William Byron taking over the lead from Keselowski. Then as Keselowski battled to get his position back, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. got into the back of Keselowski and sent him around, which cause a chain reaction that collected nearly 20 cars.

Keselowski’s night ended in a DNF and a 36th place finish.
