Cup Drivers Wrap Up Saturday Track Activity at Bristol with Final Food City 500 Practice

Bristol, TN- David Ragan in the No. 38 “The Pete Store” Ford was fastest from the start after running an early lap time of 15.051-seconds and would remain the fastest throughout the final practice. Chase Elliott in the No. 9 Mountain Dew Baja Blast Chevrolet remained in the 2nd position throughout the first half of the session.

Denny Hamlin in the No. 11 FedEx Freight Toyota ran third fastest in the final practice session with a fastest lap time of 15.109. The fourth fastest in practice was Kurt Busch in the No. 41 Haas Automation Ford, however, he would lose control in the final five minutes as he slammed into the inside wall on the backstretch. He would go to the backup car and will have to start at the tail end of the field on Sunday.

 

The Pole sitter Kyle Busch in the No. 18 Skittles Toyota was 7th  fastest in final practice with a fastest lap time of 15.213-seconds.
