In round 1, David Gilliland in the No. 4 Pedigree Toyota ran the fastest qualifying lap with an average mph speed of 183.801. 2nd was the No. 21 of Johnny Sauter and third was the No. 25 of Dalton Sargeant.
In round two, Gilliland would solidify his spot on the pole with a qualifying lap time of 49.017 seconds. Starting along side him will be Sauter who ran 2nd fastest in round 2 as well.
This is Gilliland’s 1st ever pole, and 11th career start in the Camping World Truck Series.
Failing to qualify were four trucks. The No. 63 of Bobby Gerhart, No. 33 of Josh Reaume, the No. 74 of Cody Ware and the No. 1 of BJ McLeod.
The drop of the green flag for the NextEra Energy Resources 250 is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST Friday evening from Daytona International Speedway, with the live broadcast on FS1.
