The defending National Champions #1 Georgia Bulldogs continued their winning ways, defeating SEC foe the South Carolina Gamecocks 48-7. QB Stetson Bennett accounted for three touchdowns for the Bulldogs. In 75 meetings, this is the Bulldogs largest margin of victory at 41 points.
The Bulldogs got off to a fast start, scoring twice in the first quarter. Brock Bowers scored first on a five-yard run with 8:20 left in the 1st followed by a one-yard score by Kendall Milton for a 14-0 lead heading into the second quarter.
Bennett found Bowers for a six-yard score with 11:25 left in the half. A Jack Podlesny 42-yard field goal with 30 seconds left in the half gave the Bulldogs a 24-0 lead.
A little over two minutes into the 3rd quarter, Bennett threw for a 78-yard TD to Bowers. Bennett followed that up with a 11-yard run later in the third. Backup QB Carson Beck threw a 28-yard TD pass to Oscar Delp to bring the score to 45-0 going into the 4th.
After another Georgia field goal, South Carolina scored with 53 seconds left on a 13-yard TD pass from Luke Doty to Traevon Kenion. It was the first touchdown the Bulldogs have allowed this year.
Bennett went 16/23 for 284 yards and two touchdowns. He also had the 11-yard run for the score.
Bowers had five receptions for 121 yards and two scores. The Bulldogs forced the Gamecocks into 4/13 on third downs and forced three turnovers all interceptions.
For South Carolina, QB transfer Spencer Rattler went 13/25 for 118 yards. Jalen Brooks hauled in five catches for 53 yards.

Georgia (3-0, 1-0 SEC) welcomes Kent State before more SEC play.
South Carolina (1-2, 0-2 SEC) will have another home game as they will face Charlotte next Saturday.
