“I like to think at the University of Alabama our practice facility is like a fashion show – people come with it.” – Crimson Tide Quarterback Bryce Young
NEW YORK, NY. — Friday afternoon at the Marquis Marriott in Times Square, three of the four Heisman hopefuls gathered to chat with the media about their hopes and dreams, and of course, their drip.
Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, and Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson answered questions about their respective seasons, the moments that brought them to the Big Apple, and what it means to be honored with this nomination. They also dished about their “drip” and what exactly they will be rocking at the Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Appel Room.

“Yeah, I didn’t have a lot of time to prep for this,” chuckled Hutchinson. “But I got a nice little tuxedo. It’s a little something cool by a company called State and Liberty. They got me right with something pretty quick.”
Hutchinson left it up to the experts when it came to his Heisman fit’s actual design.
“I just told the owner, ‘you do you, you figure something out, and I’m gonna like it.'”
The Crimson Tide signal-caller played the question a little closer to the vest.
“I gotta have some suspense, right?” said Young. “I got a little something picked out. I had some help, my godsister, she helped me a lot, I wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without her.”
It was a lot of hype from the young gunslinger, especially since he revealed that Tuscaloosa stays dripping.

“I like to think the University of Alabama our practice facility is like a fashion show. People come with it,” admitted Young. “Every time I put something on and feel good about it, I always say it’s a great place to be humbled. You could put on some shoes that you think are nice, a fit you like, you’re going to walk in, and there’s someone better.”
The Buckeyes’ quarterback paid more attention to detail regarding his ceremony attire.
“I had a custom suit made with my guy Rick out in Austin, Texas,” disclosed Stroud. “It’s dark blue with red stripes, and inside it has all the former Heisman’s – so yeah, it’s really sweet. I worked with him on it, it was his idea and I kind of approved it and it’s really nice.”
Stroud’s suit jacket sounds like it will likely take center stage, so tracking down “Rick from Austin” will be the top priority. But if the Inland Empire native could have asked his teammates for help, who would be his go-to guy?

“I would say a former teammate, he’s at ‘Bama now, but Jameson Williams, he can dress – that’s my dawg right there,” said Stroud. “Now, I would say, I don’t wanna boast – I would probably say Miyan Williams, he dresses pretty well.”
Young also shared which teammates he considers fashion muses.
“I go John Metchie for sure, Will Anderson has been stepping up, Malachi Moore and I’d put Jameson Williams up there too,” revealed Young. “I’m leaving some people out, though, and I’m going to feel bad about it.”
For the Wolverines’ edge rusher, there was only one guy he would call.
“I would say my wide receiver Mikey Sainristil,” said Hutchinson. “Whenever he’s going out or something, he’s always got just very great brands on, expensive brands on. For fashion, I would go to him.”
There was no comment from Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett as he was busy picking up some hardware in Baltimore. Tune in at 8 p.m. CT on Saturday night to see who takes home the 2021 Heisman Trophy.
