(Fontana, CA) The No. 22 Discount Tire Ford of Joey Logano takes home the checkered flag at the Roseanne 300 Xfinity Series race. Logano commanded the first place position throughout the whole race with only a few moments where his first place position was challenged.

The start of the race Logano was in the second place position with Christopher Bell in the No. 20 Game Stop Toyota car sitting in pole position. It only took five laps for Logano to take the first place spot. Logano held that spot throughout most of the race, but his position was at a constant threat of being taken by the No. 7 Hellmann’s Chevrolet of Justin Allgaier.

After sixteen laps the battle was not for the first place but the battle between Allgaier and Cole Custer in the No. 00 Haas Automation Ford car. Custer was able to overtake Allgaier and take the second place spot from him. Fifteen laps later the Allgaier was able to take his second place position back from Custer.

Not long after the second and third place positions changed the No. 15 Flex Glue Chevrolet car, driven by Matt Mills crashed into the wall causing the first caution flag to be waved. Mills’ crash closed out stage one, with Logano in first followed by Allgaier and Custer.

As the second stage was underway, we saw a shift in the third place spot. Tyler Reddick driver of the No. 9 Nationwide Children’s Chevrolet car was able toovertake Custer after forty-three laps. Twelve laps later there was yet another shift in the second and third place position. Reddick powered his way into the second place spot. Bell finally finds himself getting back into the top three spots, entering the third place position.

The second caution flag was waved due to John H. Nemechek’s No. 42 Fire Alarm Services Inc. Chevrolet car’s belt on the front passenger tire came undone causing massive body damage resulting in his hood to hit the front windshield. This caution ended the second stage of the race with Logano in the lead followed by Reddick in second and Austin Dillon in the No. 3 Red Cap Chevrolet car coming in third place.

Entering the third and final stage Logano at had commanded the first place position and he relentlessly holding on to it. But that did not stop Reddick or Bell from coming after him but unfortunately for Bell he spun out on the front stretch causing the third caution of the day.
This caution basically knocked Bell out of contending against Logano and Reddick.

As 111 laps passed by, Logano was still at the front of the pack with Allgaier and Reddick trailing about a second behind Logano. As the 111th lap was concluding a caution flag was waived for fluid on the track, which was a concern for Logano in the front that would end up with Allgaier following right behind him once the green flag was waved.

The 122nd lap came around, and yet another caution was waved, and this time Logano decided to go into pit row for four new fresh tires, which dropped him from first to third. This would not last long as Logano regained his first place position in just four laps. There was one more caution flag that was waved due to debris on the track. After that last caution flag was waved, Logano was able to put on the finishing touch to his big win by maintaining the top spot.

Logano lead this race for 139 laps out of 150. He and his Discount Tire Ford car was clearly the far superior vehicle on the track. This is his 29th victory in 172 NASCAR XFINITY Series races. This is also his first victory and second top-10 finish of the 2018 season, at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Allgaier placed second and posted his fifth top-10 finish in ten races at the Auto Club Speedway and his fourth top-10 finish for 2018. Sadler placed in third and posted his 10th top-10 finish in 14 races at the Auto Club Speedway.
