Kyle Larson’s Day Ends Early at Talladega after Wreck

Talladega, AL — Kyle Larson’s day ended ahead of the end of stage 2 of the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway after a wreck on lap 72 that was started by the no. 20 of Erik Jones getting clipped by the no. 1 of Jamie McMurray after getting loose. This cause jones to slam into Trevor Bayne of the No. 6, which would get Larson caught up.

The No. 42 team tried to get the car racetrack ready in the pits, but time expired on the 5-minute work clock and Larson had to park the car in the garage. This resulted in a 39th place DNF for Larson.
