NEW ORLEANS, LA – The LSU Tigers have officially arrived in New Orleans for the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship!

The number one ranked Tigers made the short bus trip from Baton Rouge, Louisiana Friday night to their team hotel in New Orleans, where they will make their home for the weekend before the big game on Monday night when they take on the Clemson Tigers.

Head coach Ed Orgeron led the Tigers off the bus, remaining all business as he walked straight into the hotel without stopping. The LSU players would follow coach O’s lead, as Heisman Award-winning quarterback Joe Burrow and the Tigers arrived wearing team jumpsuits for the trip.

LSU recognizes the magnitude of the moment they have in front of them when they take the field at Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Monday, so their business-like demeanor came as no surprise. The Tigers are making their first appearance in the College Football Playoff National Championship but must try to knock off defending national champions Clemson to stand atop the college football mountain.

The Tigers were greeted by their school band when they walked inside the team hotel, as they played the fight song “Fight for LSU” as the players made their entrance. Much has been made about LSU playing in a virtual home game with the national championship being played in their home state, and the Tigers look ready to make all of Louisiana celebrate on Monday night.
