In a game that was initially scheduled at Baton Rouge has now been moved to Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri as the 17th ranked LSU Tigers (1-1) take on the Missouri Tigers (0-2) at 11 a.m. CST on the SEC Network due to Hurricane Delta. This is the fifth time since 2015 that an LSU football game will be impacted due to a hurricane.
LSU is coming off of a 41-7 win at Vanderbilt last week. Quarterback Myles Brennan became the first quarterback in school history to throw for 300+ passing yards, and 2+ touchdown passes in their first two starts. For the year, he already has 682 passing yards on 50 completions and seven touchdowns.
Terrace Marshall, who’s on the Biletnikoff Watch list, has scored in five straight games with at least two touchdowns in four out of the last five. He has ten catches for 189 yards and four touchdowns on the season. Former quarterback turned receiver Jontre Kirklin had a two-touchdown game last week.
This is LSU’s third game all-time against Missouri with a 1-1 split. Missouri lost 35-12 last week to Tennessee. LSU head coach Ed Orgeron is 41-10. Running back John Emery leads LSU in rushing with 130 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, safety JaCoby Stevens leads LSU in tackles (17), sacks (2.0), forced fumbles (1), and fumble recoveries (2). Seven different LSU players have at least a sack this year. Cornerback Eli Ricks has two interceptions on the year.
For the Missouri Tigers, the first-year Tiger coach Eliah Drinkwitz has gone with a two-quarterback approach for both games. Both Connor Bazelak and Shawn Robinson have completed 20 passes. Bazelak for 286 yards while Robinson has thrown for 185. Robinson does have a touchdown pass.
