Kyle Larson started out in the lead as they started out stage two. Then on lap 203, Martin Truex Jr. was able to finally get around Larson for the first lead change of the race. Then just 7 laps later, it was Kyle Busch getting into the wall has he had his right front tire go down.
Immediately on the restart, Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the #88 Nationwide Chevrolet slid right up the racetrack and into the turn 1 wall. It ended up being determined his air cooler went out. This would send his car behind the wall and the crew made the decision to end their day. As stage 2 came to a close, it was Martin Truex Jr. out in front taking the stage 2 victory.
After stage 2 here is the top 3.
- Martin Truex Jr. #78 Furniture Row Denver Mattress Toyota
- Joey Logano #22 Autotrader Ford
