Natalie Decker Set to Start Her First K&N Pro Series Race in 7th at Bristol

Natalie Decker is back in the US after her week-long trip to Spain to take part in the W-Series. Saturday afternoon she will take to the track at historic Bristol Motor Speedway in her first K&N Pro Series East competition at the Zombie Auto 150.

“It feels good to be home from Spain! It went wonderful, I had so much fun over there and learned a lot. But I’m so glad I’m back with DGR here at Bristol! ” said Decker ahead of her Saturday race.

Decker will roll off the grid in the 7th starting position as she gets her first K&N race under DGR-Crosley underway. She took tp the track for the first time Friday and continued to find speed all day at Bristol.

She started the day 15th fastest in the first practice with a best lap time of 15.729. Then in second practice, she improved that with a lap time of 15.380. Then even besting that in qualifying, running a 15.209-second lap, earning the 7th starting position.

“It was my first time on track yesterday. We had an hour an a half of practice and then qualifying, and it went really good. I’m really happy with it; we qualified 7th.”

Growing up on short tracks, this should be a track that Decker can showcase her skills on. This will, however, be a two time first for her. It’s her first time racing in a K&N Pro Series car as well as her first time taking to the Last Great Coliseum! As long as she can avoid the carnage, Saturday afternoon bodes well for Decker!

You can catch Decker in the Zombie Auto 150 at Bristol Motor Speedway on FansChoice.TV with the green flag scheduled to drop around 4:00 pm EST Saturday, April 6th from Bristol Motor Speedway.
