TALLADEGA, AL – After overcoming an early penalty for speeding on pit road and an accident after stage two, Tyler Reddick rallied to claim his first ever win at Talladega and his fourth career Xfinity Series win

There were eight cautions in Saturdays MoneyLion 300 , one of which Reddick found himself caught up in. It came on lap 86 as him and Noah Gragson got into each other on the front stretch.

The incident cause a bit of damage to the No. 2 Roland Chevrolet of Reddick, however, not enough to slow him down. After that caution, he would fall behind a bit, coming just two turns away from going a lap down. However, after going green on lap 91, it was only five laps later when the next caution came out.

This would allow the No. 2 crew to finish up some work on the car and got back up to speed. After that, it was just a chase down game for Reddick as he made his way to the front of the pack.

Reddick made the pass on Christopher Bell for the lead on lap 103. Shortly after, a caution came out for debris on the track in turn four. After the green flag came out on lap 106, Reddick had his hands full, blocking Jeffery Earnhardt in the No. 18 iK9 Toyota.

Then on lap 110, carnage ensued with Earnhardt getting loose and dropping back in the back, eventually causing a seven-car pileup that brought out the red flag.

It took 14:08 to clean up the mess and get the yellow back out. Then it was a two lap shootout to the end, as Reddick made his car as big as he could moving up and down the track blocking anyone that threatened his prize.

As the checkered flag flew, it was mission complete for Reddick as he remained in the points lead with a 32-point lead over Christopher Bell, who finished in third. It was his first victory of the season and his eighth top-ten of 2019.

The Xfinity Series now turns its focus to Dover International Speedway and the Allied Steel Buildings 200 which will see the green flag drop on May 4th, 2019 at 1:30 pm EST.
