Jacoby Brissett Shines in Win Over Atlanta

Jacoby Brissett Colts

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Jacoby Brissett was lights out to start the game on Sunday against the Falcons. Completing his first 16 passes of the game, with his first incompletion coming in the 2nd quarter when Indy was already up 10-0.

Brissett ended the day with 310 yards passing and two TD’s through the air, to lead the Colts to a 27-24 win at Lucas Oil Stadium. His top target of the day was T.Y. Hilton, who he connected with on 8 of 10 attempts for 65 yards and 1 TD, all coming in the 1st half.

Unfortunately, Hilton had to make an early exit in the game due to a quad injury that had hindered him earlier in the week during practice. Head coach Frank Reich didn’t have any information on Hilton after the game.

Hilton was just one of nine players that hauled in passes from Brissett as he spread the field all day. Zach Pascal hauled in the other TD on the day from Brissett.

It marks the 2nd most passing yards in a game for Brissett in his career. The most for him came back in 2017 against the 49ers in an overtime win when he had 314 yards. It also marks just the 3rd time in his four year career that he has thrown for more than 300 yards.

Brissett will look to keep his team trending upwards as they face the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, September 29th at Lucas Oil Stadium. The last time these two met, the Colts took home a 42-28 win over the Raiders in Oakland last season. Andrew Luck was leading the Colts in that one, and this will be Brissett’s first time facing the silver and black.
