FORT LAUDERDALE , Fla. – Michigan arrived at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport as the sun was setting Christmas evening. They were greeted with a water cannon salute, cheer, smiles and a few gifts from the Orange Bowl Committee.
“It’s a great honor to be here. It’s a great privilege. We get to entertain America on the 31st.” , said Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh upon his arrival.
The Wolverines were all smiles as they disembarked their Delta plane. However, it was very evident the business at hand was on the forefront of their minds.
“Oh yeah this is the best Christmas gift I could ask for right here. Just being here and having this opportunity with all of my teammates. I can’t wait to play with them, I can’t wait to strap it up with them and give it everything we’ve got.”, said defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.
After settling into their hotels, all focus will turn towards the mission at hand, defeating the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday night at Hard Rock Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm eastern, where they will play in front of a sold out crowd for the right to advance to the National Title game in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 10th.
