In another Top 25 matchup in week six No. 13 TCU knocked off No. 8 Oklahoma State in double overtime 43-40. TCU overcame a 17-point deficit in the second quarter to secure the win.
TCU fell down early 14-0 in the first quarter on a couple of Spencer Sanders TD runs. Sanders would score from 29 yards and eight yards.
TCU would get on the board late in the first quarter on a Max Duggan one-yard score. OK State would jump out to a 24-7 lead after a Tanner Brown 35-yard field goal and a 22-yard TD pass from Sanders to John Paul Richardson. TCU would kick a pair of field goals to trim the lead to 24-13 at the half.
In the third, both teams traded field goals and TCU trailed 30-16. In the fourth, TCU scored two touchdowns to tie the game at the end of regulation 37-37. Kendre Miller scored on a three-yard run and Jared Wiley caught a 10-yard pass from Duggan.
In the first overtime, both teams would score a TD. TCU scored first on a 25-yard pass from Duggan to Quentin Johnston. OK State would answer with a Dominic Richardson one-yard run.
In the second overtime, Brown nailed a 52-yard field goal but TCU won the game when Miller scored from two yards out.
Duggan finished with 286 yards in the air and 57 on the ground with three total touchdowns. Miller finished with 104 yards and two scores on 22 carries. Johnson caught eight passes for 180 yards and a score.
For OK State, Sanders threw for 245 yards and a score. He added 68 yards on the ground and another two scored. Richardson carried 22 times for 72 yards and a score. He also had three receptions for 79 yards. John Paul Richardson finished with five receptions for 51 yards and a score.
